Our 4-Step Land Clearing Process
Land clearing isn’t just about knocking trees down — it’s about doing it the right way from start to finish.
Walkthrough & Assessment
Every project starts with us walking the property with you. We look at the terrain, drainage, trees, and overgrowth to be removed, as well as anything you want left standing. This step is about more than just “looking at the land” — it’s about understanding your goals. Are you preparing for a home, opening up farmland, or developing a larger commercial site? We take all of that into account so the plan fits your specific needs.
Custom Clearing Plan
Once we know the layout and your vision, we create a plan for the clearing. This includes identifying what needs to go, what needs to stay, and how debris will be handled — whether it’s hauling, stacking, or a combination. We also factor in safety, efficiency, and protecting the areas that aren’t being touched. This step ensures there are no surprises once the machines start working.
Excavation & Clearing
This is where the real work happens. Trees, shrubs, and stumps are removed, and roots are excavated out of the ground — not cut off at grade and left to rot. That’s a major difference between a cheap clearing job and a professional one. Leaving roots behind can lead to sinkholes, uneven settling, and long-term headaches. We take the time to do it right by completely excavating roots and underground debris so the ground remains stable. All brush, logs, and debris are then either hauled off or stacked neatly depending on your preference.
Smoothing & Site Prep Finish
Once the clearing and excavation are complete, we smooth the property so it’s level, safe, and usable. This isn’t full grading (that’s a separate service), but it does mean ruts, holes, and uneven spots are addressed so you’re not left with a rough mess. The goal is simple: when we’re done, your land is cleared, stable, and ready for its next step in the journey — whatever that might be.

I have a small lot in the River Ridge campground that I recently purchased that needs some grading and landscaping work done to prepare for a garage. When I called, John answered and told me he was going to be in my area in a couple of days he'd be glad to come out and give me a estimate on the work I needed. When he arrived he was very professional and polite nice person to talk with. He looked my lot over and told me he couldn't give me estimate at this time because of not knowing the exact property lines, my fault for not having a survey done beforehand. He spend quite a bit of his time looking walking checking the grade difference explaining everything. Mr. Glover worked with requirements involving setbacks, complex drainage and a substantial elevation buildup to create a new property contour perfect to build our house and large garage.
