Our Satisfaction Guarantee

At JG Grading & Landscaping

We believe in doing business the old-school way — where a man’s word still means something, and a handshake seals the deal.

When we tell you we’ll do a job, we stand behind it with a satisfaction guarantee: if the work we’ve contracted to do isn’t done right, we’ll make it right. We can’t control weather, natural conditions, or factors outside our scope, but we can control how we work — with integrity, honesty, and no shortcuts.

Three generations of experience have taught us that the right way is the only way. That’s what we promise every customer who puts their trust in us.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23

Our Brush Cutting & Mulching Process

Delivering Precise, Efficient, and Careful Land Clearing

Brush Cutting & Mowing Done Right

We start with a free on-site consultation where we walk the area with you, note the terrain, slope, soil conditions, and the type and density of brush. This step lets us identify hazards, protect desirable trees or structures, and plan the safest, most efficient approach.

1

Equipment Match-Up

Based on what we find, we select the right machine for the job — our Takeuchi TB290 excavator with a 22-foot cutter for extreme reach and heavy vegetation, our brand-new TL-12V2 tracked skid steer (purchased in 2025) for high-power ground work, or a combination of both. This ensures maximum efficiency and minimal impact to your property.

2

Precision Clearing

Using our heavy-duty cutters, we systematically mow down brush, saplings, and tall weeds. The 22-ft reach of our TB290 allows us to work on steep pond banks, dam slopes, ditches, and other hard-to-access spots while keeping the machine safely positioned.

3

Finishing Touches

After the main clearing is complete, we make a final pass to even out the cut, trim edges, and ensure a clean, uniform finish. If requested, we can also haul off debris or mulch it in place to leave the area neat and usable right away.

FAQs

Brush Cutting & Mulching

Answers to the Questions We Hear Most About Our Brush Cutting & Mulching Service

  • What exactly is brush cutting?

Brush cutting (or brush mowing) is the use of heavy-duty equipment to cut and mulch tall weeds, thick brush, saplings, and undergrowth that standard mowers or hand crews can’t handle. It’s ideal for reclaiming overgrown areas and keeping property neat and accessible.

  • How powerful is your equipment?

We use a Takeuchi TB290 excavator with a 22-foot brush cutter and our brand-new TL-12V2 tracked skid steer (purchased in 2025) with a heavy-duty cutter. Together, they give us the reach and cutting power to handle almost any terrain or vegetation.

  • How far can you reach with the cutter?

Our TB290 excavator’s attachment reaches up to 22 feet out from the machine, which lets us mow steep pond banks, dam slopes, and other hard-to-access areas safely.

  • What kinds of vegetation can you handle?

We can cut through heavy brush, saplings up to several inches thick, tall weeds, and undergrowth. We’re also careful to protect desirable trees or structures you want to keep

  • How do you assure quality in your brush cutting service?

We promise quality work at a fair price. If something within the agreed scope isn't right, we’ll address it promptly. Additional work will be quoted separately to ensure transparency.

  • How big of an area can you clear?

We handle everything from small residential lots to large acreage. Our equipment is designed for big jobs but we’re happy to do smaller targeted projects as well.

  • How long does brush cutting take?

It depends on the size, density, and terrain of your property. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe after our initial site visit.

  • Does brush cutting damage the soil or leave ruts?

Our tracked skid steer and excavator distribute weight evenly to minimize ground disturbance. We plan our approach carefully to reduce ruts and impact to your property.

  • How often should I have brush cutting done?

Most landowners do it bi-annually or annually. Some choose every couple of years to keep overgrowth in check. We can recommend a schedule based on your property’s needs.

  • How much does brush cutting cost?

We typically charge by the hourly or daily rate of the machine(s) to give you the most value for your money. We do have a 12-hour minimum unless you prefer to pay a separate mobilization fee for shorter jobs. The more hours or work you have on site, the lower your per-hour cost becomes. We’ll provide a detailed estimate upfront so you know exactly what to expect.

Our Work Speaks for Itself

Backed by our satisfaction guarantee, hear from customers who chose us to clear their toughest brush.

Did a great job clearing several acres of our property that had become overgrown. It was a difficult job and they took extra care to not damage any trees. They also did a great job regrading the areas that were very uneven from past work others did on the land. Easy to work with, responsible and professional. I highly recommend them.

John is a true professional that knows his business. Stayed in contact before the job was done. Showed up on time and did a great job straightening out some erosion problems I had and gravelling our driveway. Highly recommend.
