We take a quick look across the site to see what we’re working with — high spots, ruts, soft areas, drainage issues, or thick grass that needs cutting in. This helps us decide how deep to run the rake, what angle to work from, and where to pull or push material so we end up balanced across the area.
Harley Rake Pass
With our new Takeuchi TL12R2 and Harley Rake, we make controlled passes to cut through grass, roots, and compacted ground. The rake loosens the top few inches, breaks up hard spots, and windrows debris like sticks, roots, and old material off to one side for cleanup.
Fine Grading & Shaping
Once the surface is cleaned up, we start shaping — pulling or back-dragging with the bucket or rake to get drainage right and the finish smooth. On driveways, that means restoring crown and pulling stone back up; on yards, it means creating a tight, even grade that’s ready for topsoil, sod, or seed.
Finish Work & Add-Ons
